Sponsored by Nottingham Green Partnership, NCA is working towards a full Citizen's Assembly in Spring 2026 which aims to address how we achieve a just transition to net zero in the city. As part of this process NCA is engaging with a variety of different groups across the city, to raise awareness and identify the key issues, by running a number of Mini Assemblies.Accelerate the Shift and NCA are supporting Nottingham People, Planet, Pint & Pastry networking groups with this mini assembly - which is aimed at climate and environmentally active SME leaders and professionals in the city and beyond. This informal two-hour event will give you the opportunity to discuss issues relating to sustainability, to be listened to, build consensus on climate and environmental action and make recommendations to local decision makers.Building on an earlier event hosted by Nottingham Trent University, this mini assembly will work on two related issues:· How can nature/climate active businesses better (more impactfully) contribute to Nottingham's climate ambitions (CN28)?· How can we help more small businesses become nature/climate active? We are keen to marshal the views of climate active business leaders and professionals like you and look forward to seeing you on the 3rd December.Refreshments will be available. This is an invitation only event. Please click 'Reserve a Spot' below/opposite to request your place. Don’t forget to add you’re your business and role details.Mini assemblies are based on the globally recognised Citizen's Assembly model which gives people an experience of deliberative democracy that has been shown to be an effective way of tackling difficult issues.
