Join Notre Dame’s Biology Graduate Student Organization for the third annual Frog Fest—an evening of discovery, community, and amphibians! This family-friendly event welcomes guests of all ages to explore nature through interactive science activities, lawn games, free food, a raffle, and a special visit from the Potawatomi Zoo.

The evening begins with an ice cream truck, hands-on demonstrations, and activities hosted by more than 10 Notre Dame science clubs, labs, and organizations. Guests can also participate in a mini vivarium-building workshop, sponsored by Josh’s Frogs, and enter to win a full-sized vivarium and a voucher for a White’s tree frog.

As the sun sets, the event continues at the Hesburgh Library Reflection Pond, where gray tree frogs gather along the water’s edge. Led by herpetologist and Ph.D. candidate Gracie Hedgpeth, guests will have the opportunity to observe these campus residents up close while learning how scientists study and protect amphibians and their ecosystems. Headlamps will be available to help spot frogs, and physics and astronomy graduate students will guide stargazing with telescopes for those interested in exploring the night sky.
