You can either scan the QR Code on thr official flyer for their Go Fund Me OR donate through our eventbrite ticket link.~ Information from Go Fund Me Page:Many of you know Jason Jarvis as a hardworking commercial fisherman, a passionate advocate for our fisheries, a musician, and most importantly a solid, genuine guy who has always been there for his community.Now Jason is facing a major challenge and needs a little help from the community he’s given so much to over the years.Jason has recently undergone open thoracic aortic graft surgery, a serious procedure that will require a long recovery.Doctors estimate it will take 3 to 6 months before he can return to his regular work.For most people this would be difficult, but for someone who has been self-employed for more than 20 years, it presents an even bigger challenge.Jason and his partner Kelly have built their livelihoods through hard work and independence, making a traditional 9-to-5 job something that has never really fit their lives.Earlier this year Jason already lost two-thirds of his income, and now this unexpected surgery means months without being able to work on the water.Jason has spent over 30 years fishing, working on just about every type of boat and fishery you can imagine.His knowledge and experience have also made him a respected fisheries advocate, working to support and protect the industry and the people who depend on it.When he’s not on the water, Jason shares his creative side as the lead singer of the reggae band Glaucoma Suspect and Shame Dan Scandal, bringing music and energy to the community he loves.Despite this difficult moment, Jason and Kelly are looking forward.They are currently working toward launching a new seafood cooperative that will help create more stability and a regular paycheck in the future.But first, Jason needs to focus on getting through this surgery and the long recovery ahead.If you know Jason, you know he’s the kind of person who shows up for others.He’s a great guy, a hard worker, and a true member of this community.
