This month, we are excited to welcome special guest presenter Denise Savageau for a discussion on healthy watersheds and nature-based solutions.

Denise brings extensive experience in land conservation, watershed planning, climate resilience, and nature-based solutions, and will help frame a conversation around how healthy watersheds can support both people and ecosystems.

Topics will include:
- Healthy watersheds through the lens of nature-based solutions
- The interconnected challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss
- How nature can be part of the solution
- Connecticut DEEP’s recent report on nature-based solutions
- The newly adopted Long Island Sound Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) and its inclusion of healthy watersheds

Denise will share a few opening thoughts and help spark discussion among attendees.
