Join us for a traditional New England contra dance at Tracy Hall in Norwich with calling from Adina Gordon, and music by Mary Cay Brass, Rose Jackson, & Rebecca Weiss .
All dances are taught, and beginners and singles are always welcome. We offer pot-luck snacks at the break, so please feel free to bring something to share. Our caller will offer a introductory / refresher session at 7:15 pm for newcomers or those who want to review the basics. Please bring clean non-marking shoes to help protect our dance floor!

Adina Gordon finds an outlet for her loves of travel, music, dance and silliness by calling and dancing throughout the US and Canada, creating joy and minor chaos wherever she goes. Combining a voice that makes you want to do what she says with a commitment to using that power for good and not evil, Adina calls contras and squares both old and new that cause spontaneous eruptions of joy on dance floors. Based in Brattleboro, VT, Adina has called dances in 36 American states spanning all six time zones, as well as 3 Canadian provinces and Israel. Dancers frequently remark on her energy and joy, which is both highly evident and highly contagious.
Veteran New England piano and accordion player Mary Cay Brass joins forces with the dynamic twin fiddle duo of Rose Jackson and Rebecca Weiss. All three play in band configurations all over New England and beyond. Mary Cay’s soulful, driving keyboard blends and supports Rose and Rebecca’s gorgeous harmony fiddles. Whether playing lyrical waltzes, playful jigs or driving reels, these three create an abundance of flair, drama and groove on the dance floor.
