Join Merit Badge Counselors at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center for an exciting opportunity to earn your Nature Merit Badge! This program is designed to help you understand multiple aspects of the natural world and how they all interact with each other.
We’ll explore the Nature Center looking at plants, mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and more. You’ll learn about the food chain and how plants and animals are connected. We’ll discuss the concept of “Leave No Trace” and how to enjoy nature respectfully.
Come ready to learn, work, and have fun as we enjoy and learn about all nature has to offer!
What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothing for outdoors, Requirement 4-F(2) Shell Mounts
Requirements before you come: Requirement 7: A or B and Requirement 4-F(2): Collect, mount, and label six shells.
Check-in will begin at 11am with the badge session starting at 11:15am. The session will last until 12:30pm.
