The Alpaca Gnomes are a vibrant, stomp-and-groove, 7-piece original rock-folk jam band hailing from Bridgeport, CT. With violin, sax, percussion, and guitars weaving into their dynamic rhythm section, the Gnomes create a sound that’s eclectic, expansive, and built for the stage.

Their versatility has landed them on bills with acts as wide-ranging as Living Colour, Blues Traveler, Railroad Earth, Anders Osborne, and the Funky Meters, proving that their genre-blending style defies easy categorization. Whether channeling rootsy folk, jam-fueled improvisation, or funk-driven grooves, the Gnomes always bring infectious energy and an inclusive spirit.

Part of the fun is the community they’ve built. Their devoted fans — known as “Gnomies” — show up in the band’s signature gnome hats, creating a colorful, joyous atmosphere that turns each show into something more like a gathering.
