This meeting will be held both in person at our campus located at 801 Griswold St., Northville, MI 48167, as well as online via MS Teams.

 This month we are excited to be joined by Cathie Gallant, our new Parent Support Liaison, who will be speaking to our members on the following:
Information about the new role as the Parent Support Liaison.
Sharing her goals for working to support families, connecting parents/caregivers with helpful resources, and creating opportunities for parents/caregivers to mentor and learn from each other.

Open Discussion:
We will open the discussions to you, the parents and caregivers, to share what areas you need support in, so she can shape this role around what matters most to our families.

About your speaker, Cathie Gallant:
Cathie was an elementary school teacher for 30 years, before she came to work at Living and Learning Enrichment Center. She spent 4 years with us as the volunteer coordinator and event assistant. She is very excited for this new role and opportunity as she is truly passionate about working with this organization to support young adults with IDD and their families. Her experience also comes from being a parent of a child that has IDD, she has personally navigated the school system with her child, as well as SSI, vocational training, and job development services. She understands firsthand the challenges families face, and she is committed to using both her professional and personal experience to help parents feel informed, connected, and empowered.
