Tea, chocolate & reflection.About this EventProcess Heart: A 5-Week Process Art Workshop SeriesSlow down, get messy, and reconnect with your creativity through Process Heart, a five-week workshop series led by educator and artist Kelly Clancy-Nill.In this mindful and hands-on series, participants will explore a variety of process art techniques using mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolor, collage, and found materials. Process art focuses on the experience of creating rather than the final product, encouraging curiosity, play, self-expression, and presence in the moment.Each session offers a unique creative prompt designed to help participants let go of perfectionism, embrace experimentation, and discover joy in the artistic process. No prior art experience is necessary—everyone is an artist.Each class will consist of three parts:Part 1 - Connect with nature on a 10 minute walk around Northport HarborPart 2 - Connect with your creativity in a 90 minute process art activity.Part 3 - Connect with your fellow artists and reflect over tea and chocolate.$5 from each class will be donated to local non-profits in needClass 5: Reduce.Reuse. Create.What if the most beautiful art began with something you almost threw away?In our final Process Heart workshop, we'll begin with a guided mindful walk through Northport Harbor, taking time to notice the relationship between nature and the built environment. Together, we'll reflect on the materials that surround us every day and consider how creativity can help us see ordinary objects in new ways.Back in the studio, you'll transform recycled materials—including cardboard, security envelopes, and other everyday paper goods—into expressive collage artwork.
