About the event

Lucia Fest 2025
Join local residents of Swedish descent in celebrating the beginning of the Swedish Christmas season – and 50 years of celebrating this tradition in Northfield!

This free, family-friendly event includes a potluck supper, a Lucia processional and pageant, live music, the singing of Swedish Christmas carols, and folk dancing. Everyone is welcome—you don’t have to be Swedish!

Bring two dishes to pass, one dozen cookies (or what you can offer), and your own tableware.
