Sign up to the open mic by sending us a Facebook or Instagram message. You can also put your name down on the sign up sheet at the door when you turn up.

Tickets: We will be taking donations at the door which go toward making this gig happen each month. We don't think that art should have a financial barrier so don't pay us if you can't afford it! If you are able to give us money, we take cash or card.

Access: Cafe Gummo has a portable ramp for the front door step that can be put in place when requested. The inside of the building is all on one level, with the stage on the left when entering. There is a long hallway and step free access to an accessible toilet in the back garden. 
There are gender neutral toilets with stalls or urinals, plus the accessible toilet.
The audience tends to be attentive to the open mic poets so the poets voice in the microphone is the main sound. The band sets are quite loud as there are drums and amplifiers, plus multiple vocalists on microphones. The back garden is available for those not keen on the noise.
As this is an open mic event, we do not know the content that will be shared on the night. People of all ages are welcome to share something on the open mic.

We ask that you do not attend our event if you have any cold or flu symptoms. Even if it is not covid, it can still be contagious and we can care for each other by minimising the spread of viruses.

Come solo or invite your mates, either way we do look forward to seeing you really soon!
