Sherri Parry has never sat comfortably in one box. Parry blends genres unhesitatingly. Taking influence from solo artists such as Amy Winehouse, Hayley Williams and Mitski, Parry has birthed her own commanding sound in song-writing. Think jazz chords, pop vocals, folk storytelling, soul emotion, and whatever else is nearby. The only constant is the catchiness of her song writing and power of her lyricism. Working alongside Bendigo's Tom Hadlow, the pair released Parry's 3rd studio album, “When it Comes to Love” in May 2026. The first impression of the record is the single “Italian and a Movie” – A playful, classic pop, 80’s influenced love song that you can’t help but smile along to. Released alongside a music video which encapsulates the childlike elation of love.
