This led to the birth of SAMED, an organization that successfully transformed charity into production.Join us to uncover the story of SAMED—an initiative that put food on the table for over one million Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian families, while serving as cultural embassies for Palestine around the world.Live musicPalestinian homemade food (for $20)Entry is by donation****Understanding Palestine Series started in March 2024 as a response to the growing interest among Australians in the Palestinian issue, and the limited resources in English about the history, literature and culture of Palestine.The Series is organized and delivered by Yousef Alreemawi; one of Australia's leading experts in the history and culture of Palestine.Since then, Yousef has delivered 44 lectures in in Northcote, and 10 lectures in Mama Chen in Foostcray.
