Storming out of Melbourne, Australia, are 4 piece rockers, HEXHAM HEADS featuring Van Walker (Swedish Magazines/ Goatpiss Gasoline) vox and guitar, Mic Hubbard (Spencer P. Jones/Ella Hooper), lead guitar and vox, Leroy Cope (Woodland Hunters/Silver Sound) drums and Zane Lynd (Subaudible Hum)  bass and vox. The new Aussie flag bearers of big guitars and even bigger harmonies, debut EP out now on Cheersquad Records and Tapes.

Originally created as a low-stakes blues duo side-project, DOGGEREL began life in Hobart, Tasmania back in 2011. Over the years and hundreds of shows the beast has morphed through several lineups into a semi-heavy quartet featuring dobro and alto sax and covering subject matter both of great depth and of utter puerility. There have been, however, three constants in the live performances over the last fourteen years: alcohol, improvisation, and cheek. DOGGEREL is truly a live band with no two performances quite the same - a torrent of fun running over a shifting riverbed of guaranteed uncertainty, a sincere rejection of modern perfectionism, and a rough-hewn tribute to the principle of energy over aesthetic. But Kier is exhausted now and needs to rest for a bit so this is the last DOGGEREL show for a while.
