RFG AGM and Members Meeting, 12 November 2025

A wide range of topics will be covered at Rail Freight Group’s AGM and Members Meeting in Northampton on 12 November. Speakers include David Bray, the Delivery Director for East- West Rail, giving an update on progress of this new rail link connecting Oxford and Cambridge and looking at future developments.

John Bailey of Maritime Transport, will give a brief overview of the company’s significant investment in its Northampton facility – an important addition to the national rail freight infrastructure. Attendees will be given an opportunity to visit the site after the meeting.

Benjamin Bird of Yusen Logistics will outline the challenges faced in building the company’s new Sustainable Distribution Centre in Northampton and the benefits it now brings to the customers and the local community.

Tim Bentley of Wabtec will talk about the company’s new structure and vision in the UK, while Pete Brunskill, Rail Development Lead, Oxfordshire County Council will explain how the county has developed a focus on rail freight.

We also have two speakers looking at the mental health of workers, with Wendy McCristal of The Mental Wealth Company discussing how to help your workforce hnadle uncertainty and Ben Lumley of Night Club addressing health, wellbeing and productivity in night workers.

The meeting will be held 9am – 1pm on Wednesday 12 November with an opportunity to visit the Maritime Transport site after lunch. There will also be an informal networking dinner the evening before. Both events will be held at:
