Join us for our annual Wassailing ceremony at Masham Cider Press!
The time has come for the annual Wassail ceremony-blessing of the apple trees, a ceremony to wake the trees from their winter slumber and scare away evil spirits and ensure a good harvest on Saturday 17th January 2026.
Shake off the winter blues with plenty of music, dancing, feasting and festivities from midday onwards!
Expect Harlequin Morris Dancers, The Jolly Wassailers as well as Horse and Pealie's Barn Ensemble plus hot food courtesy of Bute Pizza, apple juice, cider and mulled cider from Masham Cider Press and Foxbridge Orchards as well as other liquid refreshments from Hambleton Brewery and Bayonet Brewing.
The actual wassailing ceremony starts before dusk at around 3.00pm and finishes at 6pm, everyone is encouraged to get involved!
Get into the spirit with Green Man headresses, garlands, crowns of leaves, lanterns and torches.
