The Thirsk 10 road running and wheelchair race is back for 2026 and once again we will be raising funds for our 2 chosen local charities - Herriot Hospice Homecare to help support the inpatient hospice care at The Lambert in Thirsk, and Community Works to help support the drop-in facility in Thirsk. There are charity places on offer - please email

The course is on partially closed roads and is flat and fast, making it a popular 10-mile road race for PB’s and suitable for wheelchair athletes. The course was updated and improved for 2025 which received excellent reviews - it has been formally measured by England Athletics, will you beat the course record?!
We have a very generous prize policy, with prizes for men and women for the first 5 overall runners, age category prizes and spot prizes.
We are offering T-shirts as part of your entrance fee. Sizes from XS to XXL. If you require XXS or XXXL, please put in additional information. If you choose 'no T-shirt', we will donate to our charities on your behalf. To guarantee your T-shirt, you must enter by latest 31st January 2026. There will be no entries on the day so please make sure you book in advance.
To help manage safety, we will be implementing a cut-off time this year at the 5 mile marker of 75 minutes. This equates to an overall finish time of around 2.5 hours which was very comfortably achieved by all entrants in 2025.
The race registration and finish are at Thirsk racecourse where there will be a Fun Run for children at 9:00am before the start of the race. The Fun Run can be booked online here
https://racebest.com/races/rv7ur or entry on the day (£3/child). There will be an Easter egg and medal for every fun runner. Arrive in plenty of time as there is a short walk from HQ to the start.
