Northallerton, North Yorkshire 
17th- 18th August 2025

Level 1 is 12th- 13th July 2025

On completion of levels 1 & 2 a participant is awarded a Practitioner of MoM, if they demonstrate the appropriate skill level

Level 1 The Foundation- 12th- 13th July 2025
Day 1. Introduction to the Metaphors of Movement process
Knowing where you stand – the starting point 
Full outline of the MoM process and session structure.

Day 2.  Introduction to Metaphor Taxonomy and Creating Digital Change
The Structure of Outcomes.
The Obstructions: external rules and values.
The Containers: container metaphors, inherited status.
The Burdens: responsibilities and guilt. 
The Bubbles: beliefs and values

Level 2 The Metaphoric Hierarchy-  16th- 17th August 2025
Day 3.  Intro to relationships & creating analogical change
The Elevations: status games and awkward positions.
Relational Positions: where we stand in relation to others.
The Fulfilments: emotional trading and transactions.
The Hurts: emotional injury and emotional health.
Working with anger, anxiety, and panic attack

Day 4.  Symbolism and Time Predication In Metaphor
Dream work and dream analysis.
Introduction to Metaphors of Time.
Introduction to Metaphors of Business and Money.

Course style: The course will consist of theory introducing the concepts of Metaphors of Movement, explanations, and plenty of opportunities for practice. It is delivered with an engaging style and loads of humour and fun! 

Trainer: Alan Johnson a well experienced trainer of NLP and a certified IEMT trainer. He has watched with interest the development of MoM by its developer Andrew T Austin and is now an offical Level 1 & 2 trainer of MOM. Alan is passionately interested in the contribution NLP, IEMT and now MoM can make towards personal or professional change work. 

What is Metaphors of Movement about? Metaphors of Movement takes the guess work out of change work by purely working in the structure of the metaphorical world the person occupies. It is a precision tool to help you home in on the client’s exact stuck point and how they are maintaining their problem state
