🥾About the event
The Lyke Wake Walk is a 40 mile (64km) hike with 1524m of ascent.
It’s begins at the North Sea coast at Ravenscar and takes you across the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and ending at Cod Beck Reservoir in Osmotherley.
🥾How long will it take?
The challenge is to complete the full walk within 24 hours (we expect you to complete in between 16-18hrs as this challenge requires a good level of fitness)
🥾Do I need a map?
The event is fully guided walk, so no navigation required.
🥾Arrival
Start time is 5am sharp. We ask that you are ready to go for that time. It’s essential that you arrive in a timely manner to get your kit sorted!

🥾Finish
You will finish at Cod Beck Reservoir in Osmotherly and then be taken to Osmotherley Village Hall, South End, Osmotherley, North Yorkshire, DL6 3BD. (The village hall is 5 minutes from the end of the walk and YTO transport you to the village hall after) If you are getting picked up please ensure they pick you up from the village hall.
🥾 Transport Option - if you choose this option the bus will pick you up from Osmotherly Cod Beck Reservoir, Whorlton, Northallerton DL6 3AQ at 345am to bring you to Ravenscar which is the start. You then leave your vehicle at Osmotherly so it is there when you finish.

Please note we are aiming for completing between 9pm and 11pm, a good level of fitness is required for the event. Anyone having done Yorkshire 3 Peaks or 25 miles is great experience.
