In this engaging one-man performance, Lynch brings the nation’s first president to life while exploring Washington’s role in America’s fight for independence. The program highlights Washington’s early military experiences during the French and Indian War, where he endured several defeats but gained valuable lessons in perseverance and survival. Those experiences would later shape his strategy and leadership during the American Revolutionary War, ultimately helping guide the Continental Army through one of the most pivotal struggles in American history.

Lynch as been a professional actor for more than 40 years, performing on stage, television, film, and radio throughout the Chicagoland area. Along with his wife, educator Laura Lunch, he founded the organization Histories for Kids more than two decades ago to make history engaging and accessible for audiences of all ages. Known nationally for his historical portrayals, Lynch specializes in interactive performances that give audiences a first-person perspective on the people and events that shaped American history.

While the program is designed primarily for adults ages 18 and older, children are welcome and encouraged to attend as well. Program is free, but registration is requested.
