Singer/composer Bidi Dworkin draws from a deep well of influences – the jazz-folk lineage of her childhood, the Middle Eastern melodies of her ancestry, the fluidity of Vedic meditative traditions... a fusion enriched by intuitive language and a dreamy interior landscape. She honed her chops the old-fashioned way: Gigging in New York City, Montreal, New England.
Her long-gestating debut album, Beautiful Souvenirs (2020) was arranged by legendary jazz vocalist Jay Clayton, and she's poised to enter the studio for a follow-up of original songs in collaboration with two-time Grammy winning pianist-composer Peter Eldridge, who has described the new work as "equal amounts of light and dark, whimsy and reflection, each song evolving into what’s starting to feel like a set of jazz art songs."
She will share her compositions in advance of the recording studio in a 3:00 matinee at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on Saturday, April 18, 2026 along with Grammy winner Peter Eldridge on piano, Jamie MacDonald on bass, Matt Steckler on horns, Claire Arenius on drums, plus a special surprise guest.
Tickets are $20 in advance through stage33live.com, or at the door as available. Advance tickets guarantee entry. Advance ticket sales will automatically close once 40 tickets are sold, or at midnight the day before the show if it hasn’t sold out. More information at the stage33live.com website.

Stage 33 Live is a casual and intimate industrial-rustic listening room in a former factory hosting local, regional, and national performances and presentations of original material. No bar or kitchen, the stage is the mission; coffee / soda / juice / water and weird snacks available by donation. More information about the nonprofit, all-volunteer project, and this and other upcoming events, online at stage33live.com
Stage 33 Live gratefully acknowledges the help of so many individuals without whom none of this would be able to happen, and institutional support this season from The Island Corporation, WOOL-FM, Guilford Sound, and the Rockingham Arts & Museum Project to help fund improvements and maintenance, and generally smooth out a lot of the rough edges. Stage 33 Live is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donations are deductible to the fullest extent. Volunteers run the thing from stem to stern.
