Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsmen’s Club 505 Mosside Boulevard [Rt. 48] North Versailles, PA 15137 This class will help build skills & techniques in relation to accurate shooting and shot placement for the intermediate to advanced shooter. This is also a great opportunity for the advanced shooter to refresh and practice their skills as well as learn something new. Prerequisites: All students must understand and be able to successfully maintain all shooting safety fundamentals. COURSE BREAKDOWN: The class curriculum contains: – Basic safety fundamentals. – Range safety, orientation and proper range protocol. – Shooting fundamentals (grip, stance, breath control, trigger control, hold control, sight picture and sight alignment, follow through). – Dry fire / live fire drills. – Reloading techniques. – Strong hand and weak hand shooting. – Accuracy and speed development drills. – Engaging multiple targets. – Gear discussion/selection. – Alternate shooting positions – Shooting on the move – Cover and concealment EQUIPMENT LISTS: All students must bring: – Quality Semi-automatic pistol – Quality Semi-automatic rifle of their choice (AR/AK/HK) with sling. – Minimum of 500 rounds of pistol ammunition. – Minimum of 700 rounds of rifle ammunition. – Quality eye and ear protection. – Four magazines minimum for each platform (rifle & pistol) with magazine carriers/pouch, etc. – Caliber specific cleaning supplies or kit. – Sturdy belt and quality holster. Please no flimsy, dangling or cloth holsters. Kydex preferred. We recommend holsters from Dark Star Gear, Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, G-Code, Concealment Express, 508 Holsters. – notepad or notebook with pen – knee pads optional but highly recommended. – An open mind, humble, willing to learn attitude!
