Honeybear, the Band
Honeybear is a Vancouver BC based soul, blues & roots quartet, taking you on an old school road trip through the dusty back roads of American music. While Honeybear is a relatively new band formed in 2023, the 4 band members are old friends and have been playing together in other formations for over a decade, crossing paths on tours across Canada, down the West Coast, and beyond. As individual performers, they've played at most major Folk and Jazz/Blues festivals in Canada. When the pandemic struck and live music was at a standstill, the 4 friends found themselves jamming outdoors in parks, with amps and PA's hooked up to jerry rigged motorcycle batteries, just to bask in the joy that is playing live music with like minded souls. Necessity is the mother of invention, etc. The rest is history.
Honeybear's debut EP released in March 2024 has over 3.5 million streams on Spotify, and counting. ~100k monthly listeners, featured on official Spotify Editorial playlists Nu Blue, New Music Friday, Blues Bar and Best Blues of 2024.
Big Easy Funk Ensemble
Formed in East Van, the vibrant musical hub of Vancouver, the Big Easy Funk Ensemble is a band that pays homage to the rich musical traditions of New Orleans while infusing their own distinct West Coast flavor. Founded on a shared passion for the diverse sounds that have emerged from the heart of Louisiana, the ensemble brings to life the infectious rhythms and soulful melodies that define the New Orleans sound. With a repertoire that spans across genres such as funk, jazz, soul, and blues.
Drawing inspiration from their surroundings on the West Coast, the ensemble adds a fresh perspective to the music, creating a fusion that is both dynamic and eclectic. With their energetic live shows and infectious enthusiasm, the Big Easy Funk Ensemble invites audiences to join them on a musical journey that celebrates the timeless appeal of New Orleans music while embracing the spirit of innovation and creativity.
BEFE is a 9-member band that includes a 3–piece horn section comprised of Andrew Benton (Sax), Kevin Tang (Trombone) and Ryan Naso (Trumpet). The rhythm section includes Reece Worth on guitar, Eric Stephenson on bass, Tyler Gibson on keyboards/organ, Ryan Davis on drums, Jeffrey Kornblum on Percussion and last but not least the mesmerizing Chris Berry on Vocals.
