This is a hybrid event.About this EventWelcome to the 3rd Annual Mother’s Day Remembrance hybrid event!Please join us both in person and online via Zoom on Saturday, May 2nd at 8:00AM PST / 10:00AM CST / 11:00AM EST to celebrate and honor all the amazing mothers and incredible children who are either no longer living with us, or perhaps they may be physically present, but emotionally detached or cognitively gone.This FREE event is a heartfelt tribute to the special women and children in our lives who have shaped us into who we are today.We understand that this time of the year can be extremely difficult, and can bring a range of emotions that oftentimes cannot be understood by many.Take this opportunity to reflect and honor our special loved one(s), share your favorite memories, photos, and/or stories of your mom, child, and/or children. Let’s come together to cherish and remember the love, support, and guidance our mothers have given us and the never-ending love of our child or children.Who Can Attend:This event is open to anyone experiencing grief, regardless of age, background, or the timeframe of the loss. In particular, anyone who has lost a child, children, and/or a mother(s).This event is also open to those grieving "ambiguous loss" (physically present, but emotionally unavailable or vice versa, physically absent, but psychologically present) of a child, children, and/or mother(s).Often with ambiguous loss the person is here, but not in the way they used to be. This might refer to individuals who are disconnected, withdrawn, emotionally detached, or cognitively gone.These may include, but are not limited to the following relationships: Biological, Surrogate, In-law, Maternal, Foster, Adopted, Ward, Step, Half, Godchild, Godmother, Sponsor, Kinship Caregiver, Communal / Co-Mother.Why Join:Because grief deserves space. She lost her oldest child, Ellis on Father’s Day weekend. Her mom died unexpectedly on Ellis’s birthday later in October, followed by her dad who died only two days after burying her mom. Additionally, she lost seven other very close relatives and family friends.
