About the event

Nature Knowledge Program - The Benefits of Planting Florida and Local Native Trees
Come to our November Nature Knowledge program and learn the many benefits of having trees in your yard, and choosing the best trees to plant: Native trees, of course...and especially local natives!

Forest Hecker, Community Educator for UF/IFAS Extension, Sarasota County, will tell us why planting Florida native trees such as live oak and sabal palm is smart.

In addition, we'll be taking advance orders for nursery-grown native plants you can put in your garden. They will be delivered in the spring, perhaps as early as February.

Don't miss this opportunity on Wednesday, November 19, at 12:30 at the North Port Library.

Also check out other Workshops in North Port.
