On Sunday, June 28, we are partnering with Cilantro Taqueria in North Olmsted. Enjoy fresh, flavorful, made-to-order Mexican street food between 12:00 and 9:00 p.m., while supporting New Avenues to Independence.


How Do I Participate?
Mention New Avenues to Independence when ordering, and 20% of your meal purchase will support our mission of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through our innovative programs and services.


What Qualifies?
Dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders all qualify. Online and catering orders must be placed on Toast with New Avenues to Independence in your order notes using the links coming soon. Orders placed on Toast can be placed 3 days in advance, but must be picked up or delivered from this location on the event date to qualify.


Are There Any Exclusions I Should Know?
Yes, there are exclusions to be aware of for the fundraiser.
- Sales tax does not count in the donation total.
- No coupons, discounts, or other promotional offers are valid during the event.
- Orders placed on third-party delivery services, such as DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats, will not count.

At New Avenues to Independence, our mission is to uphold the dignity of persons with disabilities (children & adults) by increasing accessibility through innovative opportunities for community connection and achievement.​ 

Our team provides innovative, high-quality programs and services to support them on their journey to independence, which has led us to become a certified provider for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.


Programs & Services:


1. Residential Services:

Our Residential Services include ten Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) and group homes owned and operated by New Avenues across Northeast Ohio. Our ICF homes have everything our individuals need and desire, ensuring alignment with their Ohio Individual Service Plan (OISP).


2. Community-Based Services:

New Avenues’ Community-Based Services include our waiver homes. With this service, individuals with IDD live in their own homes with the support they need to thrive. These individuals differ from our ICF individuals in a couple of distinct ways. Two key differences include working in the community and paying rent.


3. Inclusion Services:

Inclusion Services empower our individuals to be active in their communities. Our team works with each individual to achieve their personal and professional goals through support such as employment support, our day program, volunteering, and, when possible, navigating the community through publicly available resources.


4. New Avenues Therapeutic Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp provides a safe, structured, and engaging summer experience for individuals with disabilities ages 3-21. During this four-week program, our campers participate in weekly therapeutic and recreational programming. The camp's activities align with their Extended School Year (ESY) goals and reinforce individualized educational and developmental goals.
