Workshop duration includes some discussion time.During this training participants will :Learn fundamental research data management principles.Discuss issues and solutions with peers and instructors.Test their knowledge using case studies.Learning objectivesAt the end of the workshop, you will be able to:Understand some of the core concepts of research data management.Describe different strategies for handling research data in organised and reproducible ways.Consider case studies showcasing both good and bad data management practices.Apply these principles to your own research projects.Eligibility:This Free workshop is available to staff and students at The University of Melbourne and its affiliated institutes.You must register for this event using an affiliated institutional email address or your registration may be cancelled.Prerequisites and RequirementsThis workshop does not require any previous experience and is aimed at participants who are engaged in research, or who will be working on a research project in the future. No prior knowledge will be assumed.This is an in person hands-on workshop and attendees must bring their own computers (laptop chargers also recommended). No software needs to be installed for this workshop and no programming experience is necessary.
