- **Event Description**: Each week, babies, toddlers, preschoolers - and the grownups who love them - will gather at the library to make music together as a community. Music Together® is a playful, engaging early childhood music and movement class designed for families with children from birth through age five.

This program invites children and caregivers to sing, dance, and play rhythm instruments together. Unlike traditional “kids’ music classes,” caregivers don’t sit on the sidelines—your participation is a key part of the experience and helps your child get the greatest benefit from the program. No musical background is required—just a willingness to jump in and have fun.

Music Together supports whole-child development by strengthening language, cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills. Through joyful music-making, children build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning—all while connecting with the adults they love most.

Families are encouraged to commit to the full 8-week session, allowing children to build a strong foundation in music while forming connections with familiar songs, routines, and friends.

Participants will receive:
• A comprehensive, research-based music and movement curriculum
• Classes led by a registered Music Together Specialist, trained in early childhood music education
• Family materials including a colorful songbook and award-winning audio recordings
• Access to the Music Together Family Music Zone, plus a growth chart and parent guide to help celebrate each child’s musical milestones

This program is made possible with support from the Indiana Arts Commission Arts Project Support Grant.

Program Age Requirements: Children ages 0–5 accompanied by one or more caregivers
