# Event Details - **Event Name**: Sunrise Hike: Las Vegas Wash Trail - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 07 Jun, 2026 at 05:00 am – Sun, 07 Jun, 2026 at 07:30 am (-07:00) - **Event Description**: This after-hours hike gives you the chance to visit the park bright and early as the desert starts to wake up but before it gets too hot. This guided hike will be on the Las Vegas Wash Trail (1.5 miles). This program is for park visitors of all ages. Date: Sunday, June 7th, 2026 Time: 5:00 am – 7:30 am Location: Ice Age Fossils State Park - Check in with the front desk Need to Know • This hike is limited to 40 people and registration is REQUIRED. Individuals that show up and are unregistered will be turned away. The registration form will stop accepting reservations after 12 pm on 6/6/26 or once we reach capacity. • The park entrance fee will be collected at this event and is $3/person, kids 12 and under are free. We will accept Nevada State Park Passes, credit/debit cards, or cash ONLY; no tap to pay, or American Express will be accepted. • Participants MUST arrive between 5:00-5:20 am. If you arrive outside of that time frame the gates will be closed. All visitors must exit the park once the hike concludes. • Dogs/pets are not allowed on this hike for safety purposes. • Children 17 or under MUST be accompanied by an adult and stay with that adult. • This event is weather dependent. • The museum space will be closed for this event, but the visitor center gift shop will be open during check-in, and the restrooms will be open for the duration of the event. What to Bring • Water • Comfortable shoes • Weather-appropriate clothing • Flashlights What to Expect • Getting to rise and shine with the wildlife • The Las Vegas Wash Trail is 1.5 miles long over uneven terrain with steps, steep slopes, and gravely surfaces. Most of the Las Vegas Wash Trail is not appropriate for wheelchairs or mobility devices. • Arrival is from 5:00-5:20 am. The hike will start after all participants are checked in at 5:30 am. • This event ends at 7:30 am and all park visitors must exit the park by that time. Fees & Registration • The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.
