Yoga Nidra = Yoga Sleep has also been known as “yogic sleep” “sleep of the gods” “Psychic
Sleep” “Deep relaxation with inner awareness”.
The term Yoga Nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, Yoga meaning Union or one
pointed awareness and Nidra which means sleep.
Simply put Yoga Nidra is a very powerful meditation practice that enables its practitioners to
access the deeply restorative aspects of sleep while remaining conscious.
