Right now, Lockie is showing amazing strength and resilience as he goes through gruelling chemotherapy for a rare type of cancer. His local community and the wider community have rallied around Lockie and his family throughout this chapter.
The next stage of his fight brings new challenges. This type of cancer is very uncommon in children, with only a small number of cases seen in Australia. Once his treatment in Hobart is finished, the next step will mean relocating to Melbourne. It also means the hands-on support we’ve been able to give will become support from a distance.
That’s why we’re coming together now. We want to raise as much as we can to help ease the pressure of what’s ahead, because life is about to be turned upside down for a while and the costs will keep adding up.
We’d love you to join us for a fun-filled afternoon. Come along, show your support, dig deep if you can, and enjoy some good old-fashioned family fun as we surround Lockie and his family with love.
