We've created an accessible, comprehensive 9 month program in botanical medicine at our organic farm in the Sierra Nevadas. If you're curious about medicinal plants, holistic healing, organic herb cultivation, or herbal product making, this is the program for you!
About:
This course is a 9 month botanical medicine program that meets one weekend per month from March through November, 2025. Saturdays are our “Therapeutic Herbalism” topic, and Sundays are our “Herbal Medicine Making” topic. Please see the detailed descriptions for each of these on our website.
This course spans the spring, summer, and fall seasons and will integrate organic herbs growing on the Kern Family Farm. At the end of this course, students can expect to have a thorough understanding of the different organ systems, anatomy and physiology for herbalists, therapeutic herbalism for the organ systems, energetic qualities of imbalances and herbs covered in this course, seasonal influences on our health, organic herb cultivation and processing, herbal medicine making, and Materia Medica. Students also graduate with a full herbal apothecary, made together throughout the program.
