Chicago native Bobbi Lane is a rising gospel artist and 2026 SOAR Awards Emerging Artist Honoree, known for her soulful voice, faith-driven storytelling, and genre-blending sound. With charting singles, national touring, major award nominations, and performances alongside top gospel and R&B artists, she continues to make a powerful impact as both a musician and community leader.

This years event will honor the life and legacy of Lake County Forest Preserves Commissioner Mary Ross Cunningham, who passed away June 23, 2026. 

For more than two decades, Mary served with passion, integrity and a deep commitment to the people of Lake County. She believed everyone should feel welcome in their forest preserves. 

One of Mary’s greatest passions was our Gospelfest event. She helped grow the celebration into a cherished tradition where hundreds of people gathered to enjoy music, culture and community. She was especially proud that the event remained free, making it accessible to everyone. 

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mary’s family, friends and colleagues. She will be deeply missed.
