- **Event Description**: Last year, Grass is Greener was really about introduction. A lot of people were trying hemp beverages for the first time and figuring it all out.

Over the past year, that’s shifted.
We’re seeing more people come in already familiar with these products. At the same time, the conversation around hemp in South Carolina has gotten a lot more real. There are active discussions happening at the state level right now that will shape where this goes next.

So this year, the event builds on that.
You’ll still be able to taste a range of hemp beverages, talk directly with the brands, and get a better sense of what works for you and your routine. We’ve invited some of your favorite brands like RoDog, Brez, High Rise, and more to create one of the largest hemp tastings in the state.

We’re pairing it with great food from Big Tent Pizza, corndogs from Seol Ahs, and baked goods from Butter Half Bakery and Silk Road Bakery. There will be live music and, overall, it will still feel like what you expect from us. A laid-back evening to explore and hang out.

Alongside that, we’re also creating space to better understand what’s happening behind the scenes. Where things stand today, where they might be heading, and how the people involved in this industry are thinking about it.

Starting at 6:30pm, we’ll have Zachary Serrins, Executive Director of the South Carolina Healthy Alternatives Association, along with Justin Crouch from Southern Horizon, the largest distributor of hemp-based beverages in South Carolina, joining us as part of that conversation.

We want people to have a clearer picture of what’s going on. This is one of those things that shows up in people’s lives in different ways, and the direction it goes will impact what’s available and businesses like ours.

So come out, try something new, listen in, ask questions, or just hang out.
