Join Johns Island based artist Chris Harmon for a hands-on workshop exploring the dramatic world of subtractive charcoal drawing, paired with the luminous elegance of gold leaf. Participants will learn how to carve light from darkness using reductive techniques, then add radiant gold embellishments to elevate their compositions. You'll be guided step-by-step through creating a richly textured modern still life full of contrast, symbolism, and glow. No experience necessary—come ready to get messy, experiment, and leave with a striking finished piece. Materials provided.
Workshop is for participants age 18+.
