Handstands are back at Grounded Studios!
As a clinic/workshop series, this program is designed for progression: Each session will include some new and some repeated drills, so there is benefit to attending whenever you can. Workshops are friendly for both beginners and experienced hand-balancers, with progressions and skills to explore for all levels.
In Tim’s workshops, you will:
🤸🏼♂️ Build basic comfort upside-down and learn various forms of handstand entries.
🤸🏼♂️ Learn and embody the proper gymnastic handstand form (letting go of banana-backs and counter-balancing legs).
🤸🏼♂️ Explore head stands and arm balances, building a well-rounded sense of balance and grounding.
🤸🏼♂️ Practice a variety of drills and progressions designed to train your alignment and challenge your form.
🤸🏼♂️ Practice calisthenics, mobility flows, and bodyweight exercises that will build your strength and mobility for handstand work.
🤸🏼♂️ Progress towards advanced hand-balancing forms, shapes, and entries (and apply your work to handstand walks and handstand push ups).
🤸🏼♂️ Receive 1:1 spotting, personalized feedback, and learn how to spot and practice with a partner.
The Details:
✨ First Monday of each month, 6:30pm - 8pm (90 minutes!), from January to June*. (*April date on March 30th rather than Easter.)
✨ Each session is stand-alone, $35/person. (This is designed so you can come try it out, practice at home, join again to progress and learn more as you go.)
