- **Event Description**: We're just about two weeks away from launching the Village of North Aurora's Independence Day Celebration 2.0! After a rain out of our annual celebration, we're coming back with fireworks blazing for Saturday, August 29, 2026 with festivities starting at 5:00pm at North Aurora Riverfront Park!

FOOD & DRINKS

We’ll have some delicious food options onsite, including Royal Blue BBQ (BBQ fare), Kona Ice (shaved ice and smoothies), Serna's Grill (Burgers, monster gyros and fries) and DillaDawgs (gourmet hot dogs and quesadillas!)!  Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and their own drinks, which includes alcohol, for a fun picnic vibe. No grills are allowed.

SUPPLIES DROP-OFF

We know folks like to drop things off in the park prior to the event (please note: the Village is not responsible for lost or stolen items), and the Village Hall back parking lot will be available until 4:30pm for drop-offs (NO PARKING) to unload supplies (no grills!). No vehicles are allowed in the back parking lot after 4:30 pm for the safety of all.  Space may only be saved using chairs and picnic blankets. No tarps, stakes, rope, etc. will be allowed to cordon off areas. Let’s make sure everyone has a great spot to enjoy the event!

LIVE MUSIC

From 6:00pm—9:00pm Wildwood Country will take to the stage! Wildwood Country is an All-American Country Band that incorporates elements of Old and New Country Music, Country rock, and Line Dance music.

FIREWORKS

And last but not least, the fireworks! The fireworks will launch at approximately 9:30 pm set to music at the park!
