Border Bash weekend kicks off Friday night with a free outdoor concert featuring Voice of Harold with Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish and Black Dawg. Live music begins at 6 p.m. Bryan will take the Border Bash stage for a special performance paying tribute to legendary Athens-based band R.E.M. It’s the perfect Georgia-South Carolina combination for a night celebrating one of college football’s greatest rivalries.

General admission is FREE. Optional VIP packages are available through Southbound Smokehouse.

Friday’s concert will also mark the official kickoff of The Salvation Army of Augusta’s 2026 Red Kettle season. Special Georgia and South Carolina Red Kettles will give fans an opportunity to support their favorite team while helping local individuals and families in need. The evening will begin with the ceremonial first donation of the season.

Guests can also visit Southbound Smokehouse to adopt a local child from its Angel Tree and help make Christmas brighter for a family in our community.
