After hearing your feedback from last year, we have added a half marathon—making it the first race of its kind to run through North Adams! All routes feature stunning mountain views, sections along the Hoosic River, pass by art installations at MASS MoCA, and weave through beautiful downtown North Adams. Since 2010, the Hoosic River Revival has been working with engineers and urban planners to assess the condition of the 70-year-old flood control system and to develop modernization options. The aim is to maintain effective flood protection while also improving the river’s ecological health and creating new community features, such as river walks and better public access to the river.
