Are you craving crisp, fresh, and tasty veggies harvested from your own yard or community garden? Wondering what items you need to start your edible garden and how to find the perfect spot for it?
You will learn tips to create your very own veggie garden. A little forethought in creating your space can make it more functional, fruitful, and fun. This webinar is ideal for someone interested in learning site considerations for creating a shared space like a community garden or school garden. Aspiring home gardeners are welcome to attend as many of the considerations and tips will still apply to your landscape.
Content is geared to adults, seniors, and interested teens. There will be a brief time for questions, too. Registration is recommended but not required. This event is free. When registering if there is a teen attending with you, you may add a ticket in the cart for them, but instead of giving name, etc., please type 'teen'.
Educator: Mindy Hanak, Community and School Garden Coordinator, UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County.
