Build texture and movement using paint, yarn, and beads on canvas. This is a mixed-media, hands-on, and intuitive style class covering layering, adhesion, and composition. Students will leave with a completed canvas piece.

Skill level: Beginner
Age: 16+

Member Rate: $75
Non-Member Rate: $90
Material Fee: $15 (paid directly to instructor)

About the Instructor:
With a passion for transforming discarded materials into art, Deb Meritsky brings creativity and purpose to the world of recycled design. Combining formal training with years of hands-on experience, she specializes in mosaics, resin art, stained glass, and steampunk-inspired creations made from reclaimed materials. Through her classes and mobile workshops, she empowers others to explore creativity while promoting sustainability. Her work—from vintage china jewelry to custom mosaic designs—embodies the belief that art can be both beautiful and responsible, inspiring others to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
