“The Brass Band of Central Illinois, performing since 2004, is a volunteer musical organization based in Bloomington-Normal. The band is dedicated to enriching musical arts in our community through the regular presentation of concerts that are both entertaining and educational. Performing a wide variety of music written especially for brass band, including classical, popular, jazz, Broadway, and modern compositions, the BBCI offers casual, friendly indoor concerts in early May and December each year, as well as outdoor performances every summer throughout Central Illinois. All of our concerts are fully accessible and free to the public, with no admission fees or tickets required.

Bands were a central part of the cultural life of America at a time before the advent of radio and other media. Mindful of its responsibility towards this rich, historical tradition, the BBCI actively promotes the cultural awareness of brass band music and instrumentation in all of its concerts.”

Connie Link Amphitheatre is a beautiful and unique performance venue that offers FREE or low cost entertainment for the whole family! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, kick back, relax and let us take care of you! Concessions, such as soda/water, popcorn, candy, and frozen desserts will be available for $2.00 each!
