District and school teams are strongly encouraged to attend. The summit will focus on how ISBE resources, standards, and mandates can be strategically leveraged to support culturally responsive classrooms and strengthen instructional and pedagogical practices across content areas.The day will include a keynote address by 2025 Illinois Teacher of the Year, Victor Gomez, interactive content-based roundtables, a show and share of Standards & Instruction resources, and a facilitated build session using the S&I Summit Toolkit and Workbook. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with ISBE staff across divisions including Standards and Instruction, Assessment, Multilingual, Special Education, Educator Effectiveness, Student Care and Wellness, Career and Technical Education, Equity, School Improvement, and others.Parking is available in the Beaufort Street Parking Garage, which is attached to the event venue.Persons who need special accommodations, including language translation services, should contact ISBE's Language Access Coordinator Diana Torres at dtorres@isbe.net or 312-814-5818 at least two weeks in advance of the event.
