- **Event Description**: Successful completion of this class meets the requirements established by Nebraska State Patrol to apply for a Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). On Day 1 we cover the Nebraska state laws pertaining to lawful concealed carry as well as best practices for handgun care, use, and safety, situational awareness, conflict avoidance and de-escalation, and mental health. Day 2 will be a live fire qualification to demonstrate proficiency in drawing from cover and accurate shot placement. Range time will be scheduled in groups of 5 at a time, with each group spending only one hour at the range.
Price includes $10 day pass for non-members at Antelope County Shooters Club. If you are a member, show the instructor your current membership card and you will receive a $10 refund.

As the basic skills to safely handle, load, and fire a handgun and clear common malfunctions are required, we strongly encourage you to have those basic skills BEFORE you register for the CHP class. If you don't have previous handgun experience, please consider one of our other classes or private lessons first.  

REQUIRED for live fire qualification: Eye and ear protection Handgun and 100 rounds of ammunition OUTSIDE the waistband holster Sturdy belt Cover garment that opens in the front, preferably with pockets. (no pullovers)
