GAS Member Juried Exhibition Local Opening

On view May 28 - July 16

Join us for the opening celebration of the 2017 Glass Art Society Member Juried Exhibition! This exhibition will be a highlight of the 46th annual conference, Reflections from the Edge: Glass, Art, and Performance. The GAS Member Juried Exhibition is designed to showcase the excellence and diversity of work created in glass by Glass Art Society members. Connect with artists while enjoying hors-d'oeuvres and a cash bar by Omar's Carriage House. All works by the artists are available for purchase and 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Glass Art Society. Award Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 2 from 6-10PM.

Alongside the exhibition, Glass Wheel's courtyard will host a piano decorated by our studio artists Maggie Stergos Bush and Angie Staudt VanDyke as a part of Luke Jerram's 'Play Me, I'm Yours' project presented by the Virginia Arts Festival and The Chrysler Museum of Art from May 23 to June 4, 2017. A number of pianos, decorated by local artists and community groups, will populate streets, parks and in other public spaces across Norfolk for everyone to play and enjoy.
