Meal planning eliminates the need to rely on last-minute unhealthy options or opting for unhealthy pre-packaged meals.  Understanding the Nutrition Facts label on food items can help you make healthier choices. The label breaks down the number of calories carbs fat fiber protein and vitamins per serving of the food making it easier to compare the nutrition of similar products. The label provides detailed information about a food’s nutrient content. Knowing how to read food labels is especially important if you have certain health conditions such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol. You can use the label to compare two similar foods to decide what would be the healthier choice. We will be serving free catered lunch from Gusto Restaurant to all attendees. Vegetarian meal options will be available. All kids 17 and under accompanying their parents or guardian eat free. For your convenience we have attached our nonprofit organization’s official brochure.
