- **Event Description**: Join us for a Liberty Horse Show at Versatile Horsemanship in Nocona, TX! The venue has everything you need to have a great time showing while still giving you that "at home" vibe. 

What is Liberty?: 
Webster's defines Liberty as "the state of being free". Liberty as an equestrian discipline is the art of communicating with your horse without the use of any tack or physical/mechanical connection to them. As a competitive sport, handlers and their horses compete at patterns of various levels at Liberty and bridleless, as well as Freestyle! 
The discipline offers ALL levels from classes in the roundpen, classes on the lead rope, classes with the bridle still on, and more. There is no barrier to enter, your horse just has to be halterbroke!


This event is an International Liberty Horse Association (ILHA) Licensed event! The ILHA was founded in 2019 and was the first and original association to recognize Liberty as a discipline and a competitive sport! The association was founded by Dr. Elizabeth James and Dan James. They built the association around community, a love of Liberty, education, and inclusivity. The Southwest Liberty Horse Club was the FIRST ILHA Club and is proud to be apart of such an association.

All horses coming on site must have current negative coggins. Horses from out of state need health certificate to cross state lines.

Ribbons will be awarded for in person and virtual class. Virtual ribbons will be mailed out following completion of judging. In person ribbons will be awarded on Saturday after judging is complete.
