The MCCA Parma run is back! 

Take on our Parma Pilgrimage to Alexandra through some great driving roads, and have lunch at The Corner Hotel, Alexandra.

The Corner Hotel has received numerous awards for their famous parmas, with many types of generous portions to choose from. It has been a great day out and a previous tradition for our club that  we'd do well to re-institute.

The event route and directions are listed below (note that this may change slightly on the day):

East Meet Point - McDonald's Endeavour Hills

Route:

Head East along Heatherton Road (Route 14) and turn left onto Belgrave Hallam Road (Route C404), At the Wellington Road Roundabout, take third exit and continue along Route C413 (Wellington Road). Follow to the end and take the second exit at the roundabout onto C412 (Belgrave-Gembrook Road). Follow through Emerald, but turn left into Macclesfield Road, then follow the road to the end.

Turn right onto Parslow Road and at Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road turn left (C411)

Follow C411.

Turn left at Warburton Highway, then immediately turn right back onto C411.

At the end of C411 turn right onto the Maroondah Highway (B360).

Turn left onto C724 (Healesville-Kinglake Road) and then immediately turn right into the Station car park. 

Healesville to Alexandra

Arrive at The Station at 10:30AM, and depart at 11 AM

To arrive in Alexandra at around Noon.

This is a nice easy route, again one hour in duration, but we pull out onto the Maroondah Highway and just follow it North to Alexandra.

West Meet Point - Hungry Jacks Fawkner

Drive time from meeting point West: 1 hour

Route:

Leave Hungry Jacks and head onto the Western Ring Road (North Bound) to the Watsonia North Interchange on the M80 (Northern Ring Road)

Then veer left onto Route 46 (Greensborough Bypass Road). Continue on Diamond Creek Road (Take first exit at roundabout)

Cross Aqueduct Road, where Route 46 becomes Route 57 (Still Diamond Creek Road)

At the big Roundabout in Diamond Creek, take the first exist where Route 57 becomes Route 46 again (Main Street).

Follow Route 46 onto Main Hurstbridge Road and continue until you reach the roundabout where it joins Route 9 (Kangaroo Ground-Wattle Glen Road), and take the second exit, then follow Route 9 until the T intersection with Route 44 (Kangaroo Ground-St Andrews Road) and turn right. Then take the first left onto route C726 (Eltham-Yarra Glen Road) and follow to Glenview Road Yarra Glen.

Cross Glen View Road, where route C726 continues as Symonds Street.

At the end of Symonds Street, turn left onto Bell Street (C731) and then immediately turn right onto Armstrong Grove.

At the end of Armstrong Grove, turn left onto route C726 (Healesville-Yarra Glen Road), take the second exit at the roundabout, and continue along C726.

At the end of C726, turn right onto Healesville-Kinglake Road (C724).

Follow C724 until you cross the railway line and then prepare to turn left into the Station Car park to meet and or wait for the Eastern crew.

After lunch turn right out of the hotel and head towards Koriella, Molesworth and into Yea and then down through the Melba Highway into Yarra Glen and from there everybody can make their own way home (maybe with a box of chocolates for those who missed out on the drive).

We advise that you drive according to the conditions, and be mindful that it is winter and some areas may be prone to black ice, and can be slippery because of the ever present moisture in the forested areas.
