The Vonks is een zeskoppige funk- en groove-fusionband uit Arnhem en Nijmegen die laat horen dat funk springlevend is. Met hun “groove first”-mentaliteit weet de band elk publiek moeiteloos in beweging te krijgen, gedreven door een strakke ritmesectie en scheurende blazers. Onder leiding van de energieke frontman en trompettist Gilles Vink brengt The Vonks een krachtige mix van vintage funk en moderne groove, geïnspireerd door grootheden als Lettuce, Tower of Power, The RH Factor en The Headhunters.

In mei 2025 verscheen hun langverwachte debuutalbum ‘Departure’. Met deze release en eerdere optredens op o.a. Jazz in Duketown, Breda Jazz en een uitverkochte releaseshow in Luxor Live, laat The Vonks zien klaar te zijn om de Nederlandse groovescene én daarbuiten te veroveren. The Vonks is: Cleavon Lampe (gitaar), Sem Willemsen (drums), Norman Samuels (basgitaar), Joep Vlaar (toetsen), Liesbeth Coopmans (altsax), Gilles Vink (trompet).

Myl is een zeskoppige band uit Rotterdam die luisteraars meesleept met hun energieke fusie van jazz, hiphop, house en afrobeat. Deze combinatie van genres resulteert in een frisse en meeslepende sound die zowel vertrouwd als verrassend aanvoelt, een hoop catchy melodieën en sterke solos’s.
