Van het popfestival in Kralingen (’70) en Pinkpop (’71) tot Pinkpop Classic (‘13), van de opening van Paradiso (‘68) en de Melkweg (‘70) tot het zomerpop festival in Meerlo (‘24), van jeugdhonk tot stadion, CCC Inc. heeft het allemaal meegemaakt.  Ondertussen hebben de leden van de groep hun sporen ook elders in de muziek verdiend. Als directeuren van Paradiso en het Nationaal Pop Instituut, en natuurlijk als oprichter en muzikanten van de groep Doe Maar, de grootste sensatie in de Nederlandse popgeschiedenis.

Het is een feest om de vier vrienden van het eerste uur, inmiddels de 75 ver gepasseerd, samen muziek te zien maken. Met dezelfde passie als in hun jonge jaren en nog even tegendraads. Want, hoewel zeer succesvol in het circuit met altijd uitverkochte zalen, liet de radio nooit een noot van de band horen, en daar zijn de heren trots op.  Zo zal, mede gezien hun leeftijd, elk optreden opnieuw een spannende en sensationele aangelegenheid zijn en zal het publiek zich ongetwijfeld de vraag stellen: gaan ze het wel redden? Dat ze daarvoor gaan moge duidelijk zijn want je zestigste verjaardag kun je natuurlijk niet beter vieren dan in het echt, op het podium, met muziek en publiek.
